Biography of Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ in 29 Nights with Podcasts (1-10)

Herewith my notes for the Sīrah discussion I intend giving this year after Tarāwīḥ, Allāh willing. If we had all the time in the world we could not do justice to the greatest personality that ever walked the face of the earth. Yet in view of the lack of knowledge on the basics of his life by the general public I am using this platform for this purpose, on the premise that one can only truly love someone if one knows that person. As long as we are ignorant about the life and character of Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ    our love for him cannot be as complete as it could be.

1.     The World Before Islam

  • “A bounty is appreciated when its lost.” To appreciate the light of Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ understand the darkness before and what we would be in today without him.

  • State of the Arabs.

  • Byzantium and Persia, the superpowers of the day.

  • Yemen, under Persia, land of maternal ancestry of Quraysh.

  • Kaʿbah, its origins and origins of idolatry. Do Muslims worship the Kaʿbah?

  • ʾIbrāhīm and ʾIsmāʿīl ʿalayhimas salām.

2.     Lineage

  • ʾIbrāhīm and ʾIsmāʿīl ʿalayhimas salām.

  • Jurhum of Yemen.

  • Banū Khuzāʿah. Migrated to Makkah 5 centuries before Islā Quṣṣāy married woman of Khuzāʿah, hence generations later allied with Muslims, ultimately conquest of Makkah. Tafsīr of Sūrah Sajdah – destined matters are set in a thread of motion a thousand years before.

  • Hāshim married woman of Yathrib, where his son, Shaybah = ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib grew up.

  • Zamzam lost and found.

  • Year of the Elephant. Delicacy of Arabic - ʿĀmul Fīl, NOT Sannatul Fīl.

  • Abraha and the Elephants.

3.     Birth of Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

  • Makkah, 570, Exact date not absolutely known.

  • Most narrations of miracles at birth are not authentically proven, except for the light which Aminah saw that extended all the way to Syria.

  • The four “mothers” of Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ  . Abū Lahab frees Thuwaybiyah, as a result his punishment is alleviated in Hell. One moment of love is eternally rewarded, how then if a Muslim is steadfast in Sunnah?

  • Name – almost unique amongst the Arabs.

https://soundcloud.com/sulayman-kindi/seerah-003-birth

4.     Childhood

  • Never saw his father, ʿAbdullāh died during the pregnancy period.

  • Quraysh sent their children to be raised in the desert – for health reasons and to learn pure Arabic.

  • Banū Saʿd bin Bakr – a tribe which specialised in this kind of child rearing. Spoke the purest of Arabic and Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ later attributed his amazing eloquence to them. Experiencing drought.

  • Ḥalīmah as-Saʿdīyah i.e. of Banū Sʿad, accompanied wet-nurses of her tribe to Makkah. All rejected Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ due to his perceived poverty. Ḥalīmah turned back and accepted custody as a last resort and immediately perceived blessings. Her old goat started producing milk again. Her riding animal became fast.

  • Asked Āminah for an extension at age 2.

  • At age 4 Jibrīl opened his chest and removed black spot from heart. Returned to Āminah.

  • Age 6, Āminah dies at ʾAbwā. Umm ʾAyman takes him back to ʾAbdul Muṭṭalib.

  • Age 8, ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib dies. Entrusted to Abū Ṭālib, the poorest of all the uncles.

5.     Youth

  • Teenage years spent as a shepherd.

  • Allāh created circumstances e.g. fainting/ barriers against the customs of the time e.g. parties, working naked.

  • Ḥilful Fuḍūl – oath to protect the oppressed. Al-Āṣ bin Wāʾil refused to pay the Zubaydī merchant from Yemen. Decent men gathered around ʾAbdullāh bin Jadʿān to halt such practice, including Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . He was happy about this oath even after Islām, i.e. good can be done with non-Muslim cooperation.

  • Learnt trade from Abū Ṭālib in Syria, but the incident of meeting the monk is denied by several scholars.

6.     Marriage

  • Khadījah bint Khuwaylid, may Allāh be pleased with her, twice-widowed and had considerable wealth. Had children from her first husband. She is called aṭ-Ṭāhirah, the Pure Woman and her descendants are Banū Ṭāhirah

  • Hired Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ   to sell her merchandise in Syria.

  • She was so impressed with his ability, honesty and character that she proposed to him, a poor man, having rejected the proposals of the elite of Makkah.

  • Muḥammad صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ   was 25 and she was 40. He was not worried about her age, he loved her character.

  • She bore all his children except for ʾIbrāhīm son of Māriyah

  • At age 35 Kaʿbah was destroyed by flood. The various clans argued who would replace the Black Stone. Agreed that whoever entered Masjid first could decide.

  • Honour of even pagans. No Ḥarām funds allowed at the insistence of the worst pagan, Abū Jahl. So Kaʾbah was shortened to its present dimensions when Ḥalāl funds were depleted.

7.     Revelation

  • When Muḥammad صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ   approached his 40th year he began to feel an intense spiritual agitation and desire to worship in seclusion.

  • Rocks greeted him and years later he remembered a particular rock. How then if we greet him with love?

  • For 6 months before Ramaḍān he experienced true dreams.

  • Monday during that Ramaḍān, first revelation, Cave of Ḥirāʾ in Mount Nūr.

  • Darkness, Jibrīl’s form was not seen. Squeezed Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ  thrice so hard he thought he was going to die.

  • Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ   was anxious and it was our Mother, Khadījah raḍiyallāhu ʿanhā who comforted him at this critical juncture. She mentions his good character, not his ritual worship, e.g. assist the less fortunate, hospitable to guests, etc

  • No further revelation for a while, people mocked, that his “demon” had abandoned him. In other words ,he was the first person to be tested.

  • Khadījah raḍiyallāhu ʿanhā, took him to her cousin, the Christian monk, Waraqah bin Nawfal, who testified to his truth and that he would be persecuted. He died shortly thereafter and is known to enter Paradise.

8.     Preaching

  • Quiet preaching at the outset for three years. Most early coverts were poor, e.g. Bilāl, but also rich, e.g. ʿUthmān, may Allah be pleased with him.

  • Invited his close relations to meals and preached to them, only ʾAlī, who was a child, accepted.

  • First public preaching at Abū Qubays. Abū Lahab threw sand and cursed, “May you be destroyed for the rest of your day.” Sūrah Lahab revealed in response.

  • Continuous preaching at all public venues - Kaʿbah, markets etc.

  • Quraysh attempt to stop Muḥammad صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ   through Abū Ṭālib, offering him wealth, kingship and women. Rasūlullāh صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ     responds, “O my uncle, were they to place the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left, and ask me to abandon this course, I would not turn from it until Allāh makes it victorious or I perish therein.”

https://soundcloud.com/sulayman-kindi/voice-002-sd1

9.     Opposition & Migration (year 6)

  • Quraysh attempted various means to stop Islām. Shouting so that the Qurʾān could not be heard. Propaganda, telling people that Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ    was insane and should not be heard. Seeking advice from the Jews on how to combat him academically, (Sūrah Yūsuf and Sūrah Kahf).

  • Al-Bazzār narrates: ʾAlī رضي الله عنه continued, “Indeed I saw the Quraysh grabbing Rasūlullāh صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ   . One held him while another violently shook him. They were saying, ‘You are the one who made the gods one!’ By Allāh! None of us dared go near except Abū Bakr. He struck at one of them, pulled back another and shook another, whilst saying, ‘Woe unto you! Do you kill a man for saying my Lord is Allāh?’”

  • Torture – Bilāl رضي الله عنه dragged through the streets. Beaten.

  • Khabbāb رضي الله عنه branded with heated iron.

  • Ṭalḥah رضي الله عنه seen dragged through the streets of Makkah as a young man. A woman was the most severe in abusing him. A foreigner asked who she was, it was his own mother.

  • Sumayyah رضي الله عنها  the first martyr. Abū Jahl speared her through her private part.

  • Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ   gave permission to the persecuted Muslims to migrate to Abysinnia, Ḥabshah, Ethiopia. 15 Muslims migrated the first time,e.g. ʿUthmān.

  • Negus, an-Najāshī, title of the Emperor, not name.

  • Christian ruler known for his justice.

  • They returned after 3 months, heard false rumour that the Quraysh accepted Islā

  • Some accepted protection of Quraysh leaders.

  • 2nd migration was more than 70. This time the Quraysh sent a delegation under Amr bin al-ʿĀṣ to retrieve the “rebels and trouble makers”

  • Jaʿfar bin Abī Ṭālib defended the Muslim position. He had refused the Quraysh example of bowing before the Emperor.

  • His speech is lauded by scholars as the one of the best concise and comprehensive invitations to Islām

  • “O King! We were a people upon polytheism. We worshipped idols and ate carrion. We forgot our neighbours and regarded the unlawful as lawful, in that we shed each other’s blood amongst other things. We had no real concept of the permitted and the prohibited. Allāh then sent a Prophet unto us. We knew his loyalty, honesty and trustworthiness. He called us to worship God alone, without any partners; to maintain relations; to protect neighbours; that we pray unto God, fast for His sake, worshipping none but Him.” [Ibn Hishām]

  • The Emperor granted the Muslims protection and evicted the Quraysh delegation with their gifts. It is probable that he died upon Islā Rasūlullāh صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ   performed the funeral of a Negus although the body was in another continent. It is probable that this was a second Negus and both were Muslims.

10.                        The Boycott years (7-9)

  • ʿUmar bin ʾal-Khaṭṭāb, arch-enemy of Islām becomes great defender of Islām, Dārul ʾArqam. First public cry of Takbīr which is how Muslims express joy. Not hand-clapping and other pagan customs.

  • Abū Jahl led the Quraysh to impose a boycott on Banū Hāshim which would last three years.

  • They were not allowed food, drink, trade, marriage with other clans, and went into exile in the Glen of Abū Ṭālib.

  • Non-Muslim Hāshimīs maintained solidarity and accepted exile as well, excluding Abū Lahab.

  • Banū Muṭṭalib voluntarily joined Banū Hāshim. Some laws of Sharīʿah remain specific to Banū Hāshim and Banū Muṭṭalib.

  • Extreme hunger, eating leaves.

  • Muṭʿim bin ʿAdī and others used to smuggle in some food.

  • Eventually Zuhayr, son of Ātikah bint ʿAbdil Muṭṭalib led some Quraysh to tear up the boycott decree. Allāh had already sent termites to eat the document, excluding, “Bismikallāhumma”

The Jewish Commemoration of the Temple – Our Heritage, Our Distinction

قالوا يا موسى إنا لن ندخلها أبدا ما داموا فيها فاذهب أنت وربك فقاتلا إنا هاهنا قاعدون
[The children of Israel] said, “O Moses! We shall most certainly not enter [the city] for as long as they are in it. Go you and your Lord and fight while we sit here.” [al-Māʾidah: 24]

The Jews have recently commemorated Tisha B'Av, the date of the destruction of the Temple, twice. In a general sense this is part of our history as well, as those were the rebellious believers of the time and these occurences are mentioned in the Qurʾān in the opening of Sūrah Banī Isrāʿīl also called Sūrah al-ʾIsrāʿ. Even in the name of “Tisha”, the Arabic student should recognise “Tāsiʿ” or ninth. B’Av is however beyond me.

Yet it is in the very commonality that the two religions share, that our distinction is most evident. There may be a common historical legacy, but through the guidance of Muḥammad صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ our outlook and treatment of the very same common event is treated differently.
The Origin of Tisha B’Av

Rabbinical authorities clarify that the original reason catastrophe constantly befalls the Jews on this date was the refusal of the Children of Israel to fight the Canaanites when Allāh’s Messenger, Mūsā (Moses peace be upon him), commanded them to do so.

The spies return on the eighth day of Av and report that the land is unconquerable. That night, the 9th of Av, the people cry. They insist that they'd rather go to Egypt than be slaughtered by the Canaanites. G d is highly displeased by this public demonstration of distrust in His power
http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/946703/jewish/What-happened-on-the-Ninth-of-Av.htm

The Qurʾān records the above as follows:
(20) And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, remember the favour of Allah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you kings and gave you that which He had not given anyone among the worlds.
(21) O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has written for you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allah 's cause] and [thus] become losers."
(22) They said, "O Moses, indeed within it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave it; but if they leave it, then we will enter."
(23) Said two men from those who feared [to disobey] upon whom Allah had bestowed favour, "Enter upon them through the gate, for when you have entered it, you will be victorious. And rely upon Allah, if you truly are believers."
(24) [The children of Israel] said, “O Moses! We shall most certainly not enter [the city] for as long as they are in it. Go you and your Lord and fight while we sit here.” [al-Māʾidah: 20 - 24]

Third parties would list Joshua (peace be upon him) as a Jewish hero, but again we differ in commonality. Note the respect the Qurʾān accords him as man who fears Allāh. Whilst we agree that he was sent to gather intelligence, Muslims would deem it disrespectful to use the term “spy” on him. Again, note how he and his companion encourage reliance upon Allāh and striving in His Cause. Can there be any doubt as to the esteem we hold him in?

The Jewish Legacy

So we agree on a common even but as Islām is zealous that all mankind achieve guidance, whilst Judaism is primarily focussed on its own flock, and some even obstructing people from entering the fold of Judaism, the legacy is quite different. The Jewish interpretation becomes nation focussed and whilst we would deem the refusal to fight to be plain rebellion against Allāh and His Messenger, the Jewish national explanation is not of punishment, but divine displeasure at not fulfilling one’s potential. The focus is on the nation:

Many tragedies happened on the 9th of Av. The Two Holy Temples in Jerusalem were destroyed. World War One and Two’s commencement was due to an event that happened on the 9th of Av.
Charlie Harary in a Video On Aish.com explains that G-d is not out to punish people. He wants people to remove their negative attitude of not believing in themselves. Thus, aside for mourning, the destruction of the temples and the tragedies that occured, we should do teshuva / repent and make resolutions to better ourselves through the Torah’s lessons and strengthen our belief in ourselves – in our ability to do good.

Tisha b’Av reminds us of how broken we are, how we have not been living up to our potential, and Hashem mourns over the destruction of the temple within each of us and the distance between us that that destruction has created.

The Muslim Legacy

The tribe of Kindah was Jewish before Islām, although there would have been idolaters amongst them as well. If only the racist Muslims I have to live amongst, could comprehend even the one deed below, of the first of my tribe to embrace Islām. I would ask you to read up on the details of the Battle of Badr on your own, but the pertinent point is that fighting was not yet compulsory on all. Muḥammad صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ was unsure whether all would voluntarily join in this battle, upon which the very existence of Islām would depend. Miqdād bin al-Aswad al-Kindī (may Allāh be pleased with him) referred to the event from our Isrāʾīlī heritage. Yet this offspring of a Jewish tribe, who had become imbued with the spirituality of Muḥammad صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, no longer had any nationalist interest. To him the incident with Mūsā (peace be upon him) was now a lesson in absolute loyalty, obedience and sacrifice. Allāh and His Messenger come above any excuse in exonerating the nation, the tribe, the people or the self. I conclude in quoting him from Muḥammad Rasūlullāh, by ʾAbul Ḥasan ʿAlī Nadwī:

Then Miqdād got up and said, “O Apostle of God, we will not say as the Children of Israel said to Moses, ‘Go thou and thy Lord and fight, we will sit here.’ We will fight with you on your left and on your right, in your front and in your rear.”

ALERT! Zuhur: Jewish-Masonic infiltration of Islām (1/2)

I had taken the stance that it is better to be wrong than to join the fray of public vilification of the differing opinions. However, the ideas of this book, promoted by ostensible Muslims, are a nefarious assault upon the beliefs of the unwary. Indeed this book negates our basic beliefs in Allāh, the Qurān and Rasūlullāh صلى الله عليه و سلم . I am forced to write against it, without the courtesies of Islāmic dialogue. The simple reason is that should I acknowledge deviant Jewish belief as valid Aqīdah, I have negated my own Imān.

I read a book review of, Zuhur: Book of Enlightenment in the September 2013 edition of Islam Today, a publication from Durban, South Africa. I wrote to the editor, and not receiving a response, telephoned the contact person at the end of the review, “Saleha.” Her response and defence of deviant belief was utterly shocking. Before continuing, I reproduce the review:

Introducing the Book the ‘Zuhur’ into the Ummah is not by choice or chance but by the decree of Allah, Rabb of the Arshal Azeem. Far be it by our demands that this Book of Allah be brought down & downsized to be studied by Islam but, for the fact that it holds vital as well as crucial information for the correction of the inner states of the Ummah, as well as for them to collect the Light of the ‘Taurah’ that Allah (swt) mentions in the Glorious Quran.

Allah also states in the Quran that wherever The Taurah descends, it descends within the Sakinah in a treasure box called 'The Ark of the Covenant' wherein lies the relics of many prophets including the sword & khirqa of the Holy Prophet (saw). And wherever it descends it brings success & victory to those people & prosperity to all in that community. The Taurah, being a Book of Allah is written by the same Pen as was written the Holy Quran. As Muslims our support of the little knowledge of the Taurah (only its secrets) reaching the Ummah is crucial. Firstly, because it arrives as a gift from Allah (swt); secondly, because it is a Book of the Prophet who is Kaleemullah; and thirdly, because it is here only to deliver the gifts it bears for the Ummah’s hard work through tough times. Finally, we should note that now we are slowly starting to awaken to the confirmation that this is Qiyamah. All the signs of the final days are here. All the sins of the people of all the prophets are prevalent on our doorsteps - therefore in Islam.

Help, correction of the state of the mind & gifts are needed to console the grieving hearts of the true believers of the journey towards Allah. The ‘Zuhur’ provides all this & much more. Furthermore a word of advice for the readers who will be lucky to get a copy of this limited edition: Don’t be disheartened or disillusioned by the initial difficulty in understanding the first quarter of the Book. It took us a long time & a lot of patience to get this far with the knowledge within the Quran and still many read it without knowing its secrets.

But Allah (swt) in His infinite Wisdom is sending down the gifts within the Power of the 'Sakinah' to all who has asked for victory of the Ummah. In this Divine Feminine Nature of Allah comes the gift of translation of Divine scripture knowledge, if in'sha'allah you persevere with patience. The Taurah states that we are here to reach an advanced thinking Level so that we 'reach' the Thinking level of the Creator to 'understand' Him, His workings amongst His people and follow in His vision for us. It further states that even if you just read cover to cover, as we do the Quran, then the Gift of the Light of the Taurah will descend unto us to help us achieve the required levels of thinking & seeing things through the eyes of Allah. The workload in the Ummah is much throughout the World. Help Supreme is needed & only Allah the Creator - Owner & Knower of all minds - and everything seen & unseen can help us achieve this on a large plain. We are working against forces unseen. Help is needed in this matter in each 'mind'. Those who support the works of Allah support His Cause & it is for them that the Supreme Achievement is a gift. May Allah (swt) guide us into making the right choice regarding His Prophet Musa (a.s) & his Book the Taurah. May we as the Ummah place trust in Him that He will bring us nothing but the truth in all matters. 'The Zuhur' - helping us help the Ummah to Rise to a level of Super Power once again. Allahu Akbar wa lillahil hamd!

Where to start with this morass of disbelief? Honestly! The book’s cover would be logical I suppose. It depicts a naked man climbing steps in malevolent black and purple background. It is captioned, “FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO MASTER THEIR DEGREES.” I would hope that this symbology and terminology of the Freemasons, would be enough to alert Muslims to the nefarious aim of this book.

The cover also “quotes” what is supposedly the 23rd ayah of as-Sajadah as, “We did indeed aforetime give the Book to Moses: be then not in doubt of its reaching you.”

The ayah is actually

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَلَا تَكُنْ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِنْ لِقَائِهِ

Indeed We gave Mūsā the Book, so do not be in doubt about his liqā’ [meeting].

Which meeting? Ibn Kathīr explains it as Muḥammad صلى الله عليه و سلم meeting Mūsā  عليه السلام during the Isrā’  or Mūsā عليه السلام  meeting Allāh, such as described in Sūrah Ṭāhā. “Saleha” made much about knowledge and correct translations, but why does “Nur Muhammadiya” not recognise the masculine form of “ه” which applies to Mūsā عليه السلام? It is grammatically incorrect to apply لِقَائِهِ to the Taurah “Its reaching” since the word Taurah is consistently treated in the feminine case. Furthermore, where did “Nur Muhammadiya” concoct the word “you” from in their translation?

Bearing in mind the Mason’s love of the word “illumination,” the name, “Nur” (light) in the context of Masonic imagery unsettled me. “Saleha” affirmed that it is in fact a penname for several individuals.

One also asks what kind of Muslims depict a naked man on the same page as a Qurānic āyah, even when the āyah is so distorted?

The Zohar

In order to give an Islāmic taste, Nur Muhammadiya uses the Arabic equivalent of Zuhūr in place of the Jewish Aramaic Zohar.  The rest of the title is exactly the same of the translation for sale on Amazon, Zohar: The Book of Enlightenment. What is the Zohar? The Zohar is the culmination of the Rabbinical distortion of the teachings of Mūsā عليه السلام .

Allāh says:

ألم تر إلى الذين أوتوا نصيبا من الكتاب يشترون الضلالة ويريدون أن تضلوا السبيل

Do you not see those whom have been given a portion of the Book? They purchase misguidance and desire that you be misguided from the path. [an-Nisā: 44]

من الذين هادوا يحرفون الكلم عن مواضعه

Amongst the Jews are those who distort the word from its place…. [an-Nisā: 46]

The Rabbis first concocted the Shirk of the “Oral Law,” an excuse to give them powers to legislate contrary to Allāh.  This was consolidated into the Talmud and the Zohar. Today we are presented with the Zuhur by those who seek to misguide us. We may refer to the Jewish website www.chabad.org:

Included in the Oral tradition is the Kabbalah, the very same tradition programmed into Adam, received by Abraham and now incorporated into the Torah body. In fact, Moses received four levels of interpretation on every aspect of the Torah….This means that the written text is actually layered with explanation. Moses transmitted this received tradition to Joshua, who in turn passed it on to the Elders and Prophets throughout the generations. There was always an inner circle that possessed knowledge of the mystical tradition…..Although the Talmud focuses primarily on the body of the law, there is also much record of the mystical tradition. The Talmud relates that Rabbi Chaninah and Rabbi Hoshia would learn Sefer Yetzirah every Friday before Shabbat, and using methods described in this early Kabbalistic work, would create for themselves a calf which they would then eat on Shabbat.

Despite the greatness of these writings, the most famous of all Kabbalistic texts composed in that era is the Zohar.

Here we have the basis on which the Rabbis distorted Allāh’s Words. When they wished to concoct a law, and were challenged as to its basis in the Tawrāh, all they had to do was to claim that it was in the nebulous “Oral Law.”  The above quotation also hints at the kernel of inner circles, secret societies, elite, secret knowledge, limited edition and similar concepts so beloved unto Masonry. On the other hand, Rasūlullāh صلى الله عليه و سلم described Islām’s knowledge as beneficial rain, in contradistinction to the selective secrets of the Jews, Masons and Nur Muhammadiya.

The same Jewish website then explains the compilation of the Zohar:
It was in the Tannaic period that the Zohar, the most famous text of Kabbalah, was committed to writing by Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (also known as the Rashbi). Rashbi lived in tumultuous times when the Roman government was executing all the great Torah teachers…

Rashbi himself had to flee Roman persecution…. During this time, he received Divine Inspiration (Ruach Hakodesh) and merited the revelation of Elijah the Prophet and composed the sacred Zohar.

It is sufficient to understand the arrogance of the Rabbis by knowing that the above term Ruach Hakodesh, is Hebrew for Rūh ul-Quds.

All this is just touching on the name and cover of the book. Inshāallāh, part 2 of my article will be on the above review. Imagine what could be written on the Zohar itself, which is in several volumes.
